The Core Program for School Leaders
"The MATLC program is understandable, enjoyable, informative and provocative. This is an ideal opportunity for a Superintendent to plan for technology growth within the district."
- Stephen Dlott
Superintendent of Schools, Westborough, MA
The Core Program for School Leaders will help school and district administrators provide effective leadership and make informed decisions regarding technology. Participants will:
ENVISION: Refine their understanding of how technology can enhance teaching and learning, and envision how it should be used in their own schools. ANALYZE: Examine the current situation in their schools in relation to their vision, using various forms of information and evidence. PLAN: Design strategies to support the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning in their schools. CONTRIBUTE: Participate in ongoing collegial networks to implement their strategies. The Core Program is divided into five modules. The modules include in-person day-long sessions combined with online and in-district curriculum. The in-person sessions are typically separated by four to six weeks in which participants engage in online activity connectors (taking place in-district) providing them with first-hand opportunities to experience technology use for communications, online collaboration, and distance learning.
